Bill Magnuson is the cofounder and CEO of Braze, a leading comprehensive customer engagement platform that powers interactions between consumers and brands they love. With Braze, global brands can ingest and process customer data in real time, orchestrate and optimize contextually relevant, cross-channel marketing campaigns and continuously evolve their customer engagement strategies. Braze powers cross-channel marketing for more than 1,500 of the world’s largest enterprise and digital-first brands in 60+ countries. Braze seamlessly gathers and manages actionable customer data, allowing brands to reach their audience with targeted, personalized messaging experiences. Bill is continuously looking for ways to humanize the relationships between brands and customers to create stronger, more sustainable, and valuable relationships utilizing technology.
Bill’s professional background began at Google working on App Inventor for Android. There he helped universities unlock new opportunities in education by simplifying the complicated app development process. He later joined Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund. In 2011, he and fellow Braze cofounder Jon Hyman won the TechCrunch Disrupt Hackathon, cementing a relationship that would lead to Braze’s creation later that summer. Bill was recently recognized by Digiday as a 2019 Digiday Future Leader and Inc.’s “30 Under 30 Brilliant Young Entrepreneurs” for 2017. Bill holds a B.S. and
Masters of Engineering in Computer Science from MIT.
