Frances L. Ariola

Frances L. Ariola is the head of corporate communications at First Gen-owned Energy Development Corporation (EDC), one of the world’s largest renewable energy producers. She also serves as lead convenor of the Net Zero Carbon Alliance (NZCA), the Philippines’ pioneering coalition driving private sector action toward net zero emissions.

With over 20 years of experience, Ariola operates at the intersection of ESG, strategy, and storytelling. She has been instrumental in positioning NZCA as the country’s premier platform for decarbonization, expanding its impact by facilitating peer-to-peer learning and accelerating just, science-aligned climate action across industries.

She obtained her dual crisis and risk communication certification from the Asia Risk Management Institute and the National University of Singapore. She graduated from De La Salle University with a bachelor of arts degree in organizational communications.
