Patricia Malay is the general manager at Bud Communications in Singapore, where she leads regional client programmes across Asia Pacific. Over her 25-year career in PR and communications across the region—with previous roles at Havas, BCW Global, and FleishmanHillard—her focus has remained on believability. She is dedicated to understanding why similar messages from different organizations resonate differently, and what leadership teams must change operationally for their words to carry weight. She wants to change how people value the work of PR and communications and how it drives the believability of stories.
Alongside her role at Bud, Malay founded Candour Leads, a leadership and personal branding consultancy. She is the co-Lead for Women in Progress in Singapore, hosting monthly meetups focused on practical and supportive AI exploration. Additionally, she serves as the Manila Chapter Lead for The AI Collective and writes “Candidly” on Substack.
