Intan Maizura Ahmad Kamal was born in Petaling Jaya but spent her formative years in England. She has a background in Media Broadcasting from London Guildhall University. Upon graduating with a Media Communications degree, Intan returned to Malaysia to join the country\u2019s top TV station at the time, TV3, as an Assistant Producer, where she worked on numerous local programmes doing research, going out for shoots, scriptwriting and occasionally doing stand-uppers. She was eventually promoted to the role of producer, director and scriptwriter in the Documentary department where she helped produced several documentary series for the overseas market. <\/p>\n

After more than 3 years with TV3, Intan made the leap into print, joining the country\u2019s oldest and top English newspaper, New Straits Times. Beginning her career as a sub-editor, she was soon promoted to writer, followed by Specialist Writer, before assuming her current role as Editor. <\/p>\n

Today, Intan is the editor of Sunday Vibes, the newspaper\u2019s weekend publication. In addition to managing her team of writers and designers, she also goes out for stories and conducts interviews, writes, edits, and assists the design team with layout, as well as oversees the overall planning of the publication and liaise with PR folks and clients. She\u2019s also the producer and co-host of the New Straits Times\u2019 first ever podcast, Sunday Vibes @ NST podcast. <\/p>\n
