Siva Govindasamy joined Singapore Airlines (SIA) as Vice President Public Affairs in October 2019. He was promoted to Divisional Vice President Public Affairs on 1 July 2023.<\/p>\n

He oversees executive, strategic, and employee communications for the Airline, as well as global media relations and issues management for the SIA Group, in this role. Other responsibilities include content management and public engagement across SIA\u2019s social media channels, sponsorships and corporate social responsibility for the Airline, and the production of the Group\u2019s Annual Report and Sustainability Report.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining Singapore Airlines, Siva managed corporate communications for Airbus in the Asia Pacific region. This was across the European aerospace manufacturer\u2019s portfolio of businesses including commercial aircraft, civil helicopters, and defence and space products and services.<\/p>\n

Siva began his professional career as a journalist in 2000, and has more than 16 years of experience across international news agencies, digital media channels, trade media, and daily newspapers. This includes stints as the Chief Aerospace and Defence Correspondent at Reuters, Managing Editor (Asia) at FlightGlobal, and as a senior reporter at ICIS News and The Straits Times.<\/p>\n

Siva graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2000 with a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Political Science) degree.<\/p>\n
