Eric Thain is the General Manager of HK Express, overseeing all aspects of brand, marketing, digital, social media and PR. As a modern chief marketer, he has led the efforts across the whole corporation in accelerating the pace of change in response to evolving consumer behaviour, with a wide range of potential new priorities, including shaping the company’s public profile, managing complexity, and building new capabilities.

He is an agile, experienced and proven entrepreneurial-driven leader with a proven track record in managing profitable businesses, business transformation and innovation in the connected age, including reshaping operation and business models, new supportive technology and talent strategies.

He re-energised the brand with consumer centricity and a data-driven approach, resulting in No.1 brand improver in Hong Kong 2019 (Yougov index, out of 340 HK brands), Top 10 Reputation & Buzz Improver.

Thain is also President of the Artificial Intelligence Society of Hong Kong, pushing the role and integration of AI in the modern brand space. He sits on the Board of Advisors on various marketing associations, advising on issues that affect the marketing industry.
