Rommel is the Senior Director for Premium Brands and Execution at Carlsberg Asia, overseeing the strategic marketing of the premium offerings, including 1664 and the Beyond Beer portfolio, such as Somersby, to deliver effective strategies and programs for Sales Execution across the region.
Rommel has over twenty years of holistic marketing experience, having handled a wide[1]spectrum of markets in APAC: developed markets, emerging markets and a frontier market- Myanmar – where he was the pioneer Head of Marketing for The Coca-Cola Company.
Rommel has experience in beauty care, beverages, FMCG and Luxury Wines and Spirits. He has worked in the beauty care category for Procter and Gamble. Led IMC and marketing management in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Myanmar for The Coca-Cola Company. Led Group Marketing for Refreshment and Hydration Category for Fraser and Neave and was the Marketing Director for Southeast Asia Emerging Markets at Moët Hennessy (part of the LVMH Group).
He was fortunate to have worked in various disciplines of marketing: integrated marketing management, brand development and management, activations, marketing communications, marketing operations, events/PR, music, sports and entertainment marketing, agency management, digital/social media management, partnerships and trade marketing.
Notably Rommel was recognized by Marketing Magazine (Singapore) and Advertising+Marketing Magazine (Malaysia) as one of the region’s rising marketing professionals in 2009.
