Ivlynn Yap Cheng Theng is responsible for Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM)’s communication initiatives and is tasked with enhancing its overall crisis communications preparedness. Ivlynn has over 30 years of experience in journalism, public and media relations, stakeholder management and crisis communications.

Ivlynn began her career as a journalist for The Star, before taking on bigger roles as senior journalist and acting editor with Asia Computer Weekly and Asia Pacific Telecommunications. She transitioned into a corporate role as regional marketing communications manager for Advanced Micro Devices, working in regional offices in Hong Kong (North Asia region) and Singapore (South Asia region), and then as editor, producer and business development manager with CNET, a world leading online web property on computers and IT. Before joining PIDM, Ivlynn was founder, managing partner and principal consultant of Citrine One Malaysia, public relations firm. Under her leadership, Citrine One Malaysia has served the communications and public relations needs of more than 200 clients across industries.
