Khairul Anwar is the Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability (PACS) Director for Coca-Cola’s Bottling Operations in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, a role he has held since April 2022. He began his career at Coca-Cola in 2016 as Communications Manager in Malaysia, later serving as Head of PACS before moving to Myanmar as PACS Director for both the company and bottling operations from October 2019 to March 2022.
Khairul has been instrumental in driving sustainability initiatives, particularly under the World Without Waste (WWW) umbrella, leading the launch of 100% RPET packaging in Malaysia, Singapore and Myanmar. He has also established key partnerships with government agencies and NGOs to enhance post-consumer packaging collection and promote recycling education in schools and communities. Beyond sustainability, he has led numerous community initiatives in water conservation, economic empowerment, SME development, humanitarian aid and disaster relief.
With extensive experience in government affairs, public policy, industry relations, corporate communications and crisis management, Khairul holds key positions in various public-private committees and industry groups. His career spans multiple functions, including Commercial, Marketing and Corporate Affairs in leading multinational companies.
Khairul holds a bachelor’s degree in Analytical Economics from Multimedia University, Malaysia and in 2024, he completed the ESG Leadership Program at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.
