Priya Dharshini Prabakaran is the director of Astro Audio, making history as the youngest and first female to hold this position since its founding in 1996. Priya began her career at Astro in 2018 as a music executive at HITZ FM. Her swift rise through roles such as station manager and English network manager highlights her strategic insight and audience-first approach. Today, she leads content development across 13 Astro Audio brands and SYOK, Astro’s digital audio platform. With prior experience at Warner Music Malaysia and Star Media Group, Priya brings a rich blend of music, marketing, and communications expertise. A psychology graduate from HELP University, she is dedicated to transforming Malaysia’s audio landscape through innovation and inclusivity. Under her leadership, Astro Audio continues to spotlight content that matters—leveraging its extensive reach across digital platforms and on-ground activations to connect meaningfully with Malaysians.
