Vanitha Mani Thevaratnam is a communications leader with more than 20 years of experience helping organisations build trusted brands, strengthen reputation and navigate complex communications challenges. Her expertise spans brand, corporate, internal and strategic communications, crisis communications and stakeholder engagement across local, regional and global organisations.

As business director, public relations at Ampersand Advisory, she advises organisations on integrated communications, brand and reputation strategy, executive positioning and crisis communications. She partners with leadership teams to develop communications strategies that support business objectives, strengthen stakeholder confidence and build long-term organisational resilience.

Over the course of her career, Thevaratnam has worked with brands including Facebook, Netflix, Pfizer, Intel, Philips, Zurich, Etika Sdn Bhd, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Tiffany & Co, Astro Malaysia and Ryt Bank, as well as brands across technology, financial services, healthcare, FMCG and hospitality. She began her career in hospitality before moving into integrated communications, bringing a customer-first and commercially grounded perspective to her work.

Thevaratnam holds an MBA from the University of the West of Scotland and was recognised as a Global Woman Leader by the World Women Leadership Congress in 2023 and 2026.
