Chris joined Syngenta in May 2020 and is responsible for helping the company shape its strategic sustainability direction and vision for the region. As a champion for Syngenta’s environmental, social, and governance standards, he leads the development of strategic partnerships and engagement with stakeholders such as farmers, value chain players, NGOs, and food companies. These efforts are designed to deliver sustainable agriculture outcomes to help farmers improve their on-farm practices and achieve better yields, while benefiting their communities and the planet.

Chris started his career in federal and state politics in Australia, working for various elected representatives, including the Premier of South Australia. He has also worked extensively in the private sector, leading external affairs and communications teams in different companies across various markets in Asia. His most recent role prior to joining Syngenta was leading the public policy, communications, and sustainability agenda with PepsiCo Asia Pacific.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in History & Politics from University of Adelaide, Australia, and lives in Singapore
