Originally from Montreal Canada, Marc Nicholson’s journey has seen him living in Haiti, being a child actor, a student at the US Naval Academy, doing a year of volunteer work in a remote village in Indonesia, three years volunteering on a suicide prevention hotline. He was also a national squash player, coaching the Cyprus National Squash Team, and holds an MBA from London Business School. He has spent 20 years as an entrepreneur, which included running his own ad agency in Singapore, all of which culminated in founding 1880, a members’ club in Singapore dedicated to finding solutions to humanity’s most pressing challenges through civil discourse and dissent.
