Prerna Suri is an accomplished communicator who has worked in journalism, corporate communications, public affairs and public policy.
Prerna is currently Vice President, Communications, for Asia and the Middle East for Sony Music Entertainment (SME), leading strategic comms, ESG and internal comms for the world’s second largest music label .
Prior to Sony Music, Prerna was heading comms at Meta and Cisco. She has previously served in the United Nations as their Asia Pacific Spokesperson for the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA), communicating some of the most complex and challenging issues facing the humanitarian world. Prior to her UN assignment, Prerna was an award-winning foreign correspondent with Al Jazeera English- gaining global recognition as a conflict reporter and presenter.
Prerna gained her Masters of Science degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Lady Shri Ram College for Women. She is also an alumna of Harvard Business School’s CORE program. She is also a fellow at the Asian Forum on Global Governance, and is a TEDX speaker. Outside of work, Prerna is an avid cyclist, weight lifter and believes in the power of meditation.
