Derek leads a regional team with strong focus on brand, marketing and communications to deliver meaningful impact with simplicity, consistency and scale to Carsome’s stakeholders across Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore.
Carsome exists to help people move forward with quality assurance and peace of mind in the used car sector. Derek takes pride in pushing Carsome to lead the used car industry with data, digitalisation and technology through innovative branding, marketing and communications.
Derek has over 16 years of experience in brand and marketing. Having pioneered AirAsia’s social media presence, he has also led IPG Mediabrand’s social media practice regionally for APAC and co-founded Entropia (now part of Accenture). Before joining Carsome, he spearheaded the entire brand, sales and marketing spectrum for YTL Communications.
