Revata Utama is the Founder and CEO of Nusantics, a biotech company advancing molecular diagnostics to close gaps in accessibility and affordability of diagnostics across human and animal health. With expertise in PCR and NGS, he led the development of Indonesia’s first affordable, locally made PCR test during the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling nationwide testing and impacting millions.

Today, Nusantics supports nationwide cervical cancer screening program with its PathoScan hrHPV kits and expands access to diagnostic testing via Causa, a digital platform that connects clinics to labs for seamless health monitoring across primary and secondary care.

In animal health, Utama co-founded CeKolam, Indonesia’s first independent diagnostics lab for shrimp aquaculture, helping farmers detect pathogens early, reduce losses, and adopt more sustainable practices.

Through bold innovation and systems thinking, Utama is redefining diagnostics—bridging key stakeholders in human and animal healthcare to ultimately improve health and food sustainability.
