A proven leader in growth and brand transformation, she is currently the chief commercial officer at Nando’s Chickenland, where she drives the company’s commercial strategy by integrating marketing intervention, brand management, and customer engagement, while leading store expansion and long-term growth initiatives.
Since joining Nando’s in 2011, Chai has risen from regional marketing manager to marketing director, and now CCO, shaping brand identity, product innovation, and customer experience for Malaysia and Singapore markets. She has been instrumental in strengthening Nando’s market position, expanding its reach into new segments, and building meaningful brand connections with Malaysians.
Passionate about people and culture, Chai also champions the organisation’s values by shaping internal mindsets and behaviours. She believes that driving cultural and behavioural change from within is key to growth and long-term relevance.
