Wai Kuan is widely recognised as a trailblazer in the field of marketing and business development, known for her ability to drive market demand and enhance customer loyalty.
Beginning her career in reputable creative and field marketing agencies, Wai Kuan later transitioned to the financial industry, leading marketing and branding efforts. Her focus on customer experienceled and product-led growth has made significant contributions to financial institutions, destination marketing, tourism, and hospitality sectors. Over the past 12 years, she has been at the forefront of data-driven marketing campaigns and has leveraged advertising technology in her roles at Themed Attractions and Malaysia Aviation Group, where she worked across marketing, capabilities, and data management.
In her most recent position as the Head of Global Airlines Marketing at Malaysia Aviation Group, Wai Kuan combined her extensive consumer marketing expertise with research, analytics, customer experience insights, and data management to provide actionable insights that had a measurable impact on the airlines’ commercial business. She fostered a culture of data-driven decision-making and consumer insights. She played a pivotal role in strategically positioning the brands, driving bottomline growth, establishing cross-departmental key performance indicators (KPIs) for the marketing department, and cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset within the team. Today, Wai Kuan is the Marketing and Customer Experience Lead at The Chicken Rice Shop.
