Ricky Wong Wai-kay is the co-founder, Vice Chairman, and Group Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Technology Venture Company Limited (SEHK Stock Code : 1137). With visionary leadership and a pioneering entrepreneurial spirit, Mr. Wong has led the Group over the years to drive the development of the telecommunications industry and promote the application of technology, and has been named one of the 2025 Influential Leaders of AACSB International (AACSB), the world’s largest business education alliance, being the first awardee from Hong Kong to receive this prestigious honour.

In 1992, Mr. Wong founded City Telecom (Hong Kong) Limited, introducing callback technology to Hong Kong’s international direct dialing (IDD) service market and opening up an entirely new landscape. In 1999, he established Hong Kong Broadband Network Limited, becoming the first telecommunications provider in Hong Kong to offer high-speed fibre broadband services. Since 2015, he has led the Group into the eCommerce sector and built Hong Kong’s largest online shopping mall “HKTVmall”. Under his leadership, HKTVmall has redefined e-commerce by integrating smart logistics and big data analytics, delivering exceptional value to customers and merchants alike.
