David Beal is the group chief marketing officer and head of global digital marketing at the Jollibee Group, where he serves as the driving force behind the marketing strategies for the company’s diverse portfolio of 18 brands operating over 6,800 stores across 33 countries. In his role, Beal spearheads the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing roadmap aligned with the company’s global ambitions. Leading a diverse marketing team with a global perspective, he is actively involved in creating global centers of excellence for key marketing functions, elevating brand equity, visibility, performance, and customer engagement.

Before joining the Jollibee Group, Beal spent 11 years at Starbucks Coffee Company, where he held various key roles. As the global lead for Starbucks’ customer digital programs international expansion, he played a pivotal role in expanding digital initiatives across 86 countries and cultivating a loyal customer base of over 30 million members. Additionally, Beal was instrumental in the growth and management of the US$4 billion Starbucks Card international payment platform, as well as the international expansion of core marketing functions including digital, product marketing, analytics, brand, sustainability, creative, and operations.

He also had stints with media agency MEC in Singapore, Ogilvy & Mather in Hong Kong, and Ogilvy Healthworld in the UK, which all contributed to an impressive track record that demonstrates an exceptional blend of global experience and skills in brand development and digital marketing. Beal is a history graduate from Princeton University and holds a master of science in international strategy and economics from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. He is now based in Singapore.
