Chris Lee is the assistant chief executive (ACE) at National Gallery Singapore. He leads a first-of-its-kind museum experience and services business unit which integrates visitor experience, innovation and technology, Integrated marketing and communications, and business development to deliver a seamless, personalised and elevated experience with art physically and digitally within and beyond the walls of the museum.

Lee led the gallery’s self-disruption transformation, in response to COVID-19, towards a phygital museum and outreach beyond its walls through breakthrough initiatives like GalleryAnywhere & The People’s Gallery. Online visitorship tripled to 3.5 million post pandemic and onsite visitorship has recovered to surpass pre-pandemic levels.

Lee also led a large cross-divisional team from 2019 to 2022 to radically re-design the museum experience into a new multi-modal, decentralised ticketing and seamless museum experience, involving both hard and soft infrastructure innovation.

Prior to National Gallery Singapore, Lee served in a number of key executive marketing management positions at EMC, HP, Sony Ericsson, Philips and Procter & Gamble.
